I fixed the problem by selecting my main character before moving on to the cutscene. After the cutscene ended the game crashed. The glitch was that I had Carth selected before the cutscene, and so when the cutscene started, my main character did not show up running with him to the ship. The point in the story where the game crashed was right before the main character and Carth are about to board the Ebon Hawk.the cutscene should show them doing so, but was only showing one character, not both. Through tests and consulting with friends (thanks, Howzet), I may add one more possible solution for you – leave the game in focus and without touching it for ~30 seconds after you launch it.
The temporary work around involves disabling vsync on your GPU, disabling Game Mode in Windows 10 and disabling the full-screen optimization option in Windows for SWTOR. Bioware is currently working on a possible fix.
Those crashes, they are indeed caused by the new Game Mode feature Microsoft has implemented.Ĭommunity manager Eric Musco posted on the official forums an official acknowledgement that these issues are indeed caused by the update and aren’t random.
As you may know, Windows 10’s Creators Update has been officially out for quite some time now and it’s been causing issues with SWTOR to many players.
